Quebec City "Crushed Ice" Competition!

I'll admit, I saw this on TV last year and I was intrigued. A group of men hurtling down what looks like a bobsled run on skates trying to push each other to get to the finish line first. Red Bull Crashed Ice is back. A combination of downhill skiing, hockey and boardercross. Crazy? Yup. Sounds like a great new sport.

Well this January 26, you can join the over 75,000 screaming fans lining the cobblestone streets of Quebec City to watch over a hundred participants soar down a 500 metre ice-track.

The one-of-a-kind 535m (with 56m vertical) urban ice track will wind and dive its way through the city’s stunning landscape. However there will be no time for the competitors to stop and taste the tire d'érable (snow taffy), as they’ll have to navigate the course’s massive vertical drops, razor-sharp turns, jumps and steps, all while doing speeds of up to 50 km/hr.

So join the crowds this year to cheer on the competitors. After the race will be a live performance by Three Days Grace. Wanna go? We can get you there for the weekend for just $435 per person. You'll get 2 nights accommodation and return VIA Rail from Toronto plus we'll throw in passes for the Museum of Fine Arts.
